I had been going through a mental illness and was fighting a personal crisis. I had a syringe of blood drawn professionally and made this painting using my own blood to depict that I would not give up, I will survive and fight it out. It had to be my own blood to depict the warrior within. Does the idea of using blood in this artwork shock you or repulse you? Or does it intensify the artwork for you? We are all warriors...so fight on.
